Are There Alot Of Employment Options In Houston, Texas?

i am moving to southwest houston mid june from seattle. is it as hard to find a job down there as it is for some people here? im 20 years old, been working for 5 years and have a good references. i work at a hotel now, front desk and night auditor. i would like to still work at a hotel, but im nervous. its always nervewrecking moving, let alone by myself, away from everyone and job searching! aghh im nervous!

Moving is stressful, but everything will work out in the end. Start calling some of the Employment Agencies to get your foot in the door. Here’s a few places to start with.

There is over 2.5 million people out of work, so finding a job anywhere is going to be really difficult. If you are working for a hotel chain, see if you can re-locate to one of their hotels in the area you are moving to. One thing is don’t move unless you have a job if that is possible.
Houston is way better off than most of the nation. With your experiance and references you should do ok. Good Luck.
Start searching the internet for job listings in houston. That will give you an idea of what is available.
I plan on moving to Houston as well Thanks for all this info… I grew up in TX moved away and cant wait to get back!
