Me and my husband are leaving from Vermilion ohio to drive 22 hours to houston texas , my husband is going to go there to look for roof jobs and hurricane work. Is there anyone out there that can tell me if there is alot of devastation out there , and also if there is construction opportunities ,especially roofing . We want to go to an area that we can make good money and make it worth driving there. Thanks ,your replies will be very appreciated.
There is roof damage in Galveston and Houston. However, you’re going to probably want to work for an established contractor that has references in town. We’re warned about people from out of town that don’t have local references. There are too many “take your money and run” scams after any disaster.
you’re coming to the right places for roofing work. still a lot of hurricane damage all over.if he can put fences he will be of some help too. a lot of fences are still down
You will find plenty of roofing work here. I am still seeing lots of blue roofs. I agree that you will want to work with a reputable company though.
